A Flexible Format Designed to Fit Your Busy Life
At the Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH), we believe that working professionals need the flexibility to advance their careers and that geography shouldn't be a barrier to earning an accredited, graduate education in public health. The online Master of Public Health (MPH) in Leadership and Public Health Practice is a great fit for professionals who want to hone their management, leadership and public health skills. For this program, we do not require GRE test scores, we offer all of the required courses online — in both asynchronous and synchronous formats — and we look for applicants with work experience. We do not run on a cohort model, so you can adjust your coursework on a semester-by-semester basis, if needed, to accommodate your work or personal schedule.
Practical, Career-focused Instruction
This program will prepare you for leadership positions in public-health-driven organizations in health care, government, non-profit and for-profit industries. With courses in all five core areas of public health, ranging from biostatistics to health policy, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the discipline. In addition, you’ll gain the management, budgeting, evaluation and public health administration experience you need to become an effective leader and manager. You can also tailor your coursework to your passions with nine elective credits. Our electives cover a range of hot topics in public health such as GIS mapping, public health informatics, communication for public health impact and more.

Program Details
Students in this program must complete 42 credit hours, including practice-based learning experiences. Students complete a practicum, in which they apply their skills in a public health field site and a capstone, in which they synthesize their MPH competencies in a final deliverable for a practice-based public health partner.

Admissions
To apply for admission, applicants are required to complete the online SOPHAS application. All application materials should be submitted directly to SOPHAS. As of October 1, 2019, the GRE is no longer required for admission to the MPH program at the ColoradoSPH.

Tuition and Fees

Financial aid is available to students who qualify. Financial aid is managed and awarded to students through the University of Colorado Denver Office of Financial Aid.
Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP)
The WRGP helps students access graduate education outside of their home state without paying the high price tag of an out-of-state education. Students who are residents of WRGP member states and territories may qualify for in-state tuition. Members include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Scholarships
The ColoradoSPH offers a limited number of scholarships to incoming and current students. Incoming students are considered for merit scholarships based on the information presented within their application to the school. Amounts vary year to year.
